Garlic Miso Soup

The next time you feel a little under the weather make a bowl of this soup taught to me by Dr. Colbin from The Natural Gourmet Institute, to boost your immune system and to maintain a good balance of friendly bacteria in your gut. Healthy intestines are essential for being able to absorb nutrients from the foods we eat.

  • The cloves of 1 whole garlic, peeled
  • 3 cups of water, vegetable or chicken stock
  • 1 large spoonful of miso

Bring 2 cups of your chosen liquid to a boil in a small casserole with the garlic coves. Boil for 10 minutes over low heat.

Blend the liquid with the miso, add another cup of water or stock and heat until hot.
